Fit for Europe – Training for a Positive Migration
The general objective of the project, promoted by the Chamber of Commerce of Oviedo (ES), is to improve the legal migration from Morocco, Cape Verde and Senegal towards Italy and Spain, as well as to increase consciousness in the origin countries about legal immigration advantages and illegal immigration consequences.
The specific objective is to verify and increase the Training Centres and Chambers’ skills in giving correct information, support and training in the origin countries, in order to assure a suitable training for the potential emigrants towards EU, especially towards Italy and Spain. Another objective is to improve local administration’s skills in maximizing emigration benefits for immigrants, through homecoming, circular migration and the investment of the funds sent back home.

The aim of this project is to investigate VETS/Trainers working with SMEs in relation to the delivery of programmes/courses/training methodologies and processes used in relation to migrants and mobile workers, through the investigation of a common set of competences for Vocational Educational teachers and trainers (VETs) which can be eventually transferred to partnerships with Small, Medium Enterprises (SMEs) directed at the use of the “best practice” training methodologies for mobile workers and/or migrants.

LEBANON – Improvement of employability of young Palestinian refugees- Technical assistance to VET providers working with Palestinian refugees
The project aims at supporting the modernisation and extension of VET provider’s capacities (Sibline Training Centre and other 4 with various branches in the area) in order to provide adequate training to Palestinian students for improving their employment perspectives. This is achieved mainly by upgrading existing courses, improving management, organisation and skills of staff and instructors, modernising equipments and training materials.
The project also supports the counselling, career guidance and placement services of UNRWA and other VET providers in order to support a better access of VET and higher education graduates to the labour market. This is achieved through the training of staff through the design and implementation of an adequate information system and guidance and placement methods and tools.
The specific objective is to increase the employability of young Palestinian refugees in Lebanon.
The project has 3 fields of action: Upgrading and expanding VET delivery; Modernisation of counselling and placement service; Reinforcement of Palestinian students’ access to higher education.

Integrating 3rd country nationals through empowerment – creating sustainable integration networks with business
The project objective is to support the setting up of trans-national co-operation networks to identify, exchange and evaluate good practices and new approaches, for the integration of 3rd country nationals, business and local/state administration, in immigrants’ advantage. It’s promoted by the Danish Organization of the Chambers of Commerce (HTSI), in partnership with IFOA, Spanish, Estonian and German Chambers of Commerce.
In Italy, the objective is the realization of a fair to exchange job demand and supply for immigrants.

Experimentation and assessment of the impact on the psychic and physical rehabilitation and the motivation of the recipients.

YEMEN – Strengthening the priority areas of vocational training
Support to the overall reform of Yemen’s Vocational Education and Training system through the establishment of three vocational training centres in three priority fields: Women empowerment, Oil & Gas, Hotel & Tourism. The major objectives of the project were: to increase employment opportunities, especially for women, through acquisition of skills most required by the labour market and the involvement of the private sector in VET system. Tasks included: assessment of VET needs within the three sectors; identification of the need for new training centres and strengthening of existing centres; revision and development of curricula to include market research results; elaboration and delivery of a Train the Trainers programme.

TURKEY – Support to women entrepreneurs
Creation of 5 technically and financially self-sustainable management training centres in Ankara, Bursa, Çorum, Denizli and Mersin. The aim is to provide professional orientation and technical training to women to develop or strengthen small family businesses. Activities include: recruitment and training of local trainers and administrative staff, development of training materials in local language in various management subjects, training delivery to 1500 women, coaching of local trainers, organisation of study visits to Europe, refurbishment and equipping premises; and institution building to TESK to develop new policies in support of women entrepreneurs.
