KYRGYSZTAN, KAZAKHSTAN AND UZBEKISTAN – Evaluation of the ETF Project ‘Training for enterprise development of enterprises in Central Asia’
The aim of the project was to evaluate the results achieved by a previous European Training Foundation initiative – titled Training for Enterprise Development and implemented in Central Asia, namely Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan (during years 1999 – 2001).
Ifoa project ‘Evaluation of TED’ foresaw the contribution of a team of 3 senior experts which was in charge of carrying out the project evaluation according to EU methodologies and standards. The evaluation activity also provided information to improve future planning of ETF initiatives to sustain enterprises in the Central-Asiatic region.

MULTICOUNTRYSOUTH EAST EUROPE – Education and Training for SME Development
Delivery of a primary stocktaking on the key issues (constraints, opportunities, options and recommendations for reform and development) for SME education and training in 7 South East European countries. Elaboration of 7 situation reports on the policy and institutional framework for SME development with particular reference to education, training and skills development. The project defined options and recommendations on how education and training for the SME sector in the regions could be developed in the framework of economic recovery and regional integration. Countries involved were: Albania, Bulgaria, Romania, Slovenia, Montenegro, Croatia and FYROM.
