Project: TeleICCE – Promotion of Teleworking and Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) Training for Increased Cluster Competitiveness and Employment

Project aim is promote the adoption of a) an innovative business-to-freelancer (b2f) model facilitated by Teleworking platforms, b) a skills building framework through MOOC platforms, in order to enhance the competitiveness of SMEs and the employment of professionals.
TeleICCE is generating awareness regarding use of Teleworking & MOOCs, present them in a coherent way (e.g. per market sector) and provide support & training for SMEs and freelance professionals on how to exploit them.
The project is promoting the added-value of such platforms to the end-users through awareness raising, training and implementation of sectoral pilot projects that will act as proof of concept.

Project outputs

  • a training methodology for integrating b2f business model within microSMEs and how to utilize freelancer teleworking and MOOC platforms
  • a training methodology for freelance professionals on how to exploit teleworking and MOOC platforms
  • a set of pilot applications engaging SMEs and freelancers, based upon existing platforms that will act as proof-of-concept
  • the establishment of multipurpose points, with necessary IT infrastructure, that will be used:
    • for the provision of training to both micro-SMEs and freelance professionals regarding the use of teleworking and MOOC platforms
    • for the conduction of teleworking and MOOC training by end-users
    • for the provision of day-to-day support to end users and within the frames of pilot projects
    • as a reference & information point regarding the potential of teleworking & the role of MOOCs
  • and a strategy for entrepreneurship development and employment enhancement based on crowdsourcing economy
