IFOA, as leader of an international consortium, has been invited to tender by the European Union for a project in United States of America, whose overall objective is to support the achievement of the EU’s policy objectives through strategic public diplomacy activities in the United States that engage meaningfully with targeted audiences and stakeholders.

The purposes of this contract are as follows:

To increase understanding of the EU project, of its principles, and of European Union policies of common interest among stakeholders and target audiences in the United States, in particular the European Commission’s ten priorities for 2014-2020 and the EU’s foreign policy priorities. To increase the visibility of the European Union (both its institutions and Member States) as a trusted, capable, confident, and successful actor by emphasising the EU’s values, quality of life, creativity, and industrial strength. To integrate and amplify the impact of ongoing and future EU and Member State public diplomacy activity in the United States through coordination with Member State Embassies, Consular Networks, and Cultural Institutes. To successfully engage, mobilise, and build trust with influential US stakeholders and target audiences (future leaders, opinion-makers/influencers, and others) including the new Administration and Congress taking office from 2017 around the European Union’s policy priorities

Commencement date & Period of implementation

The intended start date is 1 September 2016 and the period of implementation of the contract will be 36 months from this date.

Location

The key expert for the contractor should be based in Washington, DC to facilitate close cooperation with the Contracting Authority.

To this regards, we are seeking for the following key experts:

Key expert 1: Team Leader/Contract Manager

Other experts to be provided under this contract are short term non key experts experts. Non-key experts should have knowledge and proven experience relevant to the deliverables for which he/she would be responsible. Such experience could include, inter alia, public diplomacy, public relations, communication and/or media (including digital), events management, visits management, marketing, US politics and governmental affairs, European/EU politics and governmental affairs, and transatlantic relations.
