Spring Meeting
The Erasmus+ programme supports activities in education, training, youth and sport across all sectors of lifelong learning including Higher Education, Further Education, Adult Education, Schools and Youth activities. Erasmus+ aims to boost skills and employability as well as modernise education, training, and youth work across Europe. The programme will provide opportunities for over 4 million Europeans to study, train, gain work experience and volunteer abroad and will also support transnational partnerships between education, training and youth organisations.
The ULIXES Consortium is a training and research economic interest group and has members across Europe. It develops and delivers EU projects in several fields, ranging from Lifelong Learning to Vocational Education and Training, including Information and Communication Technologies and Social Inclusion. In the last round of EU funding from 2007-13 the ULIXES Consortium members, managed projects that were worth over €40 million and the consortium hope to build on this in the on going funding period.
Speaking at the conference the Vice President of ULIXES, Josef Stockinger, said that “the current round of EU funding under Erasmus + offers significant opportunities for development of student and staff mobilities, in addition to projects to support transnational partnerships among Education, Training and Youth institutions and organisations to foster cooperation and bridge the worlds of Education and work in order to tackle the skills gaps we are facing in Europe.”
The ULIXES Consortium has been celebrating 20th anniversary in 2014 and its members have during that time made a significant contribution to VET, Professional Higher Education and regional development across Europe. The members attending the conference included delegates from Denmark, Portugal, Germany, Austria, UK, Spain, France, and Italy.
