TA of the programme in support to the employment and TVET reforms

IFOA have recently submitted an Expression of Interest for the “TA of the programme in support to the employment and TVET reforms” in Jordan and as such are now inviting expressions of interest from consultants interested in this assignment in the long term roles detailed below.

Short contract description

The contract is expected to run from February-March 2012 to October 2014. It will provide 4 long-term technical assistance posts indentified in the financial agreement of the programme in support to the employment and TVET reforms:

  1. Expert on strategic planning and policy development to help develop and fine-tune strategies, action plans and to prepare policies in the areas of employment, TVET and human resources development at the national level (in principle should be the team leader);
  2. Expert on labour market and HRD information systems to help develop a labour market information system (LMIS). Experience in this process and in the management and conducting of sector surveys with the involvement of private sector/social partners will be required;
  3. Expert on financial planning and costing to help employment and stakeholders prepare the estimation of the cost and financial plans for their operations as well as the pluri-annual and annual budgets;
  4. Expert to support the quality assurance and quality control system for the TVET system and sector teams. Experience in quality assurance and certification in TVET systems and of qualifications frameworks and work with social partners will be required. The mobilisation of this expert depends on the Government of Jordan decision on the TVET quality assurance and certification model.

Experience in the region and working with the European Commission are both an asset.
