International mobility of apprentices

IFOA joins the European network favouring the international mobility of apprentices

IFOA is getting more and more equipped to favour the international mobility of young people. After the experience with graduates with the project 4T4EU, funded by the Leonardo da Vinci programme, IFOA now turns to another of its historical targets: apprentices. It does first joining the Euroapprenticeship network, composed of about 150 members of all European nations and supported by the European Commission, which has been working in the last years to promote the mobility of apprentices in Europe. The occasion was the meeting held in Brussels on 16 and 17 November, where about 50 experts in apprenticeship, learning, mobility and exchanges have been working to create new partnerships, harmonize the instruments in use, solve problems, improve the services offered

The services that IFOA is able to offer in this field are manifold:

• For young apprentices employed in Italian companies: experiences abroad in training courses in classroom or on-the-job
• For Italian companies: enrichment of the curricula for mandatory training offered to their apprentices with experiences of studying or working abroad, or else, hosting of young apprentices from other European countries who wish to have an experience in Italy, in exchange for their work, of contacts in the country of origin, or of the possibility of cooperation, cultural and technical exchanges.

The mobility has a duration of minimum one week, maximum one month.
